I just made the correlation with Cotton Hill and your username, then I made the correlation with Cotton Hill's height and you, except you have shins. Did you have a growth spurt in the last few years?

*I am assuming you have shins. My apologies if you don't.

I do in fact have shins. I am only 5'3" so I suppose it's rational to compare me to him.

I know several people about that height. It's all the cuteness of a midget, just without the medical condition(s) and/or deformities.

The life of a midget. The struggles to reach the Captain Crunch on the counter continues on in today's episode. I'd watch it.

They have shows like that on TLC, I think. No shows about tall people, though. I guess children staring, and people asking for things off the top shelf just isn't entertaining.

I think I remember that show, one in particular. What was it called? All I really remember is them struggling to get into a van.

"[...] struggling to get into a van."
I lol'd.

There was about twelve of them, but the one I remember was Little People, Big World.

Yeah, that was it. I've been watching Toddlers and Tiaras, I think my weird fascination with it is similar to the one I had with Little People, Big World.

I couldn't bring myself to watch that. I don't know the show itself, but every time I've seen anything to do with kids in pageants, it's like watching child abuse.

It is like child abuse, but it's just so intriguing. I don't know why. I also love watching shows about morbidly obese people or people with weird diseases.
User Picture.. ~ 07/09/12, 12:35pm
Picture..
Yeah, I like the morbidly obesity shows, because it really doesn't make me feel bad for the person it's about. Generally, when you're 800lbs, it's your fault. I don't like the disease shows, because they make me feel bad.

I'm fascinated with how they live, who enables them, how they sneak food and etc. I want to watch a show that explains what happens when a person hits a certain weight and they continue to gain it anyway. For some people it's 200lb, others 300lb. So what makes them keep eating instead of trying to help themselves? Besides the obvious depression, habits and childhood issues.

That's what I've always thought. For me, there would be a point where I'm like "holy shit, I'm 300lbs of lard, maybe three pizzas for dinner isn't such a good idea." But there would also be the point where I just say "Well, I'm 500lbs, I'm past the point of no return, might as well pig out until I keel over."

I remember one guy that lived in one room in his apartment because he couldn't get out. He would order pizzas, and look out the window waiting for the pizza guy, and then throw a laundry basket on a rope out the window with cash in it, and tell the pizza guy to put the pizza in it.

I also like to see where these non-working individuals get the funds to support their $300/week diet.

I don't think those are two different points. I think it all depends on the person. It's either give up because you think you've already failed, or have the courage to try even if you think you will fail.

There was a point when I didn't like interacting with people, so putting money under the mat or something was something I'd do, if I had to order pizza. I think doing that would make me feel really...ashamed and weird.

I think most of them get social security/disability check or depend on a family member. If I had a family member like that, I'd support them, but spend a lot of my time making sure they didn't cheat on their diet.

Yeah, it's all about the individual, but those would be the main points for me.

In some ways, it reminds me of how someone would be a prostitute for drugs. I'll bet, if that guy had to, he would perform sex acts in exchange for food.

7 times out of 10, it seems to be some kind of Government assistance program. I would probably do the same, but once it's to the point where they can't even stand up, besides surgery, is anything really going to make them better?

These comments are getting very thin.
Very thin.
Thin.

I'll give you a moment to soak in my comedic genius.

I've heard stories about people having sex for food. I would understand if they're poor...But I don't know if that makes it any better.

Overweight people can lose weight a lot easier than people of average weight. If you could manage to keep them on a strict diet for some time, that could turn into light exercise and move on from there. Hopefully they don't die in the process.

I pasted that comment into a text editor so I could read it.

These comments definitely aren't tossing laundry baskets out the window for pizza guys.

I've only heard of that in the case of poverty, not the morbidly obese. That would be an interesting Craigslist ad. "Will blow you in exchange for 12 McDoubles. Must meet at my place."

Yeah, but at, say, 500lbs, losing weight really fast is still pretty slow. I wonder if there's any dependancy issues at that point. Like, an alcoholic needs to be weined off, or the body can go into shock.

By the way, I must find out how small these comment boxes can get.

I wonder if there's a breaking point; A number in the system where it just doesn't work any more.

Maybe you should talk to John about his coding, these comments need some fixing.
